Arts & Crafts or Aesthetic style is a design era made famous by William Morris. Stickley and Frank Lloyd Wright are also popular designers with overlap in this era. Arts & Crafts originated in England, and when it came to the US it became the Mission style. This style is known for the rectangular lines, symmetry/order, quarter sawn oak, and design motifs reminiscent of medieval Europe, Islamic, or Japanese designs.
